Gertrude Janet Joseph

Gertrude Joseph, of Covington, passed away Wednesday April 3, 2024, at the age of 76. 

Mrs. Joseph was a member of the Church of God, in Miami, Florida. She later joined Global Empowerment Ministries in Stone Mountain, Georgia. 

She would spend countless hours in the church volunteering to make a difference in the lives that she touched. She enjoyed praising God, singing, shopping, cooking, going to the beach, and caring for her family and friends. 

Mama Joseph was known for her loving and caring spirit, her smile that would brighten any day, and her unwavering love. She was admired by all who knew her. 

Mrs. Joseph was preceded in death by Jacob Joseph and Evelyn Roberson-Joseph (parents), Kelty Joseph (daughter), and Wilson Joseph (grandson). 

Survivors include- Daughters, Alice Joseph-Oben, Genny Lingard, and Tanya Cius. Son-in-Law, Kingsley Oben and Kevin Lingard Sr. Grandchildren, Timothy Noel, Kevin Lingard Jr., Kalvin Lingard and Asahda Cius. Great Grandson, Timothy Noel Jr. (TJ), along with a village of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, and nephews. 

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Joseph will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 12 PM, at Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd. Covington, Ga 30014, with Dr. Keith Donaldson D. Lawrence officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to her service from 11am until 12pm.
