Angel Gabriel Cerda

Angel Gabriel Cerda, of Covington, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the age of 13. Angel had a huge smile and touched a lot of people’s lives. He was a part of the Miracle League in Newton County. He liked being in the midst of the chaos, was always watching his surroundings, or enjoying a nap. Angel enjoyed watching football and wrestling, tasting cake and the icing, and holding hands. In addition, he enjoyed listening to music. Angel loved his dogs, and he was extremely loved by all. He helped others by participating in a medical trial to get a seizure medication approved by the FDA. Angel was preceded in death by, Yuritza Cerda; and Abigail Cerda.

Survivors include his mom, Rosa Cerda; dad, Jose Sifuentes; siblings, Julian Sifuentes, Robert Sifuentes; family, Maritza Rodriguez (Diego), Moises Cordeiro, Diego Rodriguez, Gabriela Sanchez Serrato, Gabriela Cerda, Martha Jamie de Sifuentes, Jose Sifuentes-Lizalde, Omar Cerda (Belinda), Megan Stargel, Robert Stargel, Ian Cerda, Vanessa Cerda, Alexander Cerda, Mercedes Sifuentes (Pedro Vazquez), Jasmin Vazquez, Sebastian Vazquez, Cielo Vazquez, Jonah Vazquez, Laura Vazquez, Esteban Vazquez.

A Funeral Service for Angel will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, three hours prior to his service, from 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
