Willene Cowart

Willene Cowart of Covington, passed away April 5, 2018, at the age 86. Mrs. Cowart was artistic in nature, and her hobbies were a reflection of her creative mind. She was skilled at cake decorating and oil painting, and she enjoyed gardening - mostly flowers. A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Cowart's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Harold Cowart; parents, Buren and Veila Baughtman; and brother, Lamar Baughtman.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Alan Barker; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Mary Cowart; grandchildren, Michael and Cheryl Frank, Katie Frank; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Addison, Emma; brother and sister-in-law, Bruer and Linda Baughtman; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, April 8, 2018, 2:00 PM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Minister Linda Baughtman officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, one hour prior to her service, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or, memorial donations may be made to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, GA 30025.
