Ruthie "Bama" Patton

Ruthie "Bama" Patton of Social Circle, passed away May 13, 2016, at the age of 71. Mrs. Patton enjoyed playing board games, solving crossword puzzles, antique shopping, dancing, eating out, and going to the mountains. Because of her passion for reading, she never stopped learning. Mrs. Patton cherished the time she spent with her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jones Patton; parents, Howard and Naoma Morris; and sister, Dolores Wade.

Survivors include her daughters, Amy Mobley, Wendy Swigart, both of Social Circle; grandchildren, Casey Kerlin, Keely Swigart, Savannah Swigart, Alyssa Mobley; great-granddaughter, Teagan Kerlin; sisters, Linda Hewatt, Melody Morris; brothers, David Morris, Ricky Morris, Michael Morris; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Patton will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Adam Cooper officiating. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service, from 12 Noon - 2:00 PM.
