Hayward Roper, Obituary

Rev. Hayward Boyd Roper, Sr. of Harlem, GA, passed away February 21, 2015, at the age of 76. Rev. Roper was a Pastor for many years. He retired from Lucent Technologies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lela Roper; five brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rev. Barbara J. Roper of Harlem, GA; daughters, Andrea D. Roper-Harper, Nena Marie Littlejohn; son, Hayward Boyd Roper, Jr.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters; one brother.

Funeral Services for Rev. Roper will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015, 3:00 PM, at Stewart Baptist Church, 158 Stewart Church Road, in Covington, with Rev. Keith Stuarte and Rev. Michael Littlejohn officiating and interment following in Stewart Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.
