Eli Murphy

Eli Murphy of Mansfield passed away July 19, 2016, at the age of 30. Eli enjoyed working on his farm, fishing and deer hunting. In addition, he liked going to the beach, sailing and playing horseshoes with his brother-in-law, Marc Tucker. A devoted husband and father, Eli cherished the time spent with his family and had the kindest spirit to anyone that he saw in need. He had a real servant's heart.

Survivors include his wife, Sadie Murphy of Mansfield; son, Michael Finley Murphy; daughter, Aubrie Anne Murphy; mother, Kathy A. Clanton; father, Michael A. Murphy; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica Erin and Pedro Ruiz; maternal grandparents, Homer and Louise Adams, Charles Barnette; paternal grandparents, Ricky and Glenda Brogdon; in-laws, Anne and Paul Wizefski, Rick Tucker; brother-in-law, Marc Tucker; sister-in-law, Meghann Tucker; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services for Eli will be held Sunday, July 24, 2016, 3:00 PM, at Mansfield United Methodist Church, 3031 N. Main Street in Mansfield, with Pastor Todd Hilton officiating and inurnment following in Carmel Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington Saturday, July 23, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
