Carol Winters

Carol Winters of Oxford passed away April 9, 2016, at the age of 69. Mrs. Winters retired in 2013, from Newton Medical Center after 20 years of service. She was a very adventurous lady, enjoying the outdoors and exploring nature. In addition, she was very active with the Georgia Canoeing Association, and she cherished the time spent with her daughter, camping and kayaking. Mrs. Winters and her sister, always enjoyed their weekly discussions after watching, Joyce Myers Ministry and In Touch, with Dr. Charles Stanley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wayne Winters; parents, Grant W. and Dortha L. Bullock; and sister, Gloria Jerome.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Harbac of Oxford; sister, Donna Field of Owego, NY; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Bonnie Bullock of Tioga Center, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Winters will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016, 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, with Dr. Adam Cooper officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to the service from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or contributions may be made to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30319.
