William Johnson

William Johnson, of Oxford, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the age of 74. Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Valdosta State University where he was in the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was an avid Georgia football fan and enjoyed coaching football and softball. Mr. Johnson also enjoyed restoring boats in his free time. He could make friends with anyone and loved his family dearly. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Pearce Johnson; parents, William Judson, Sr., and Margaret Johnson; sister, Sara Jo Prigge.

Survivors include his son, Chris Johnson; daughters, Shelli Downing (Rob), Karri Mannocchi (Chris); and grandchildren, Cord Johnson, Camden Johnson, Chance Johnson, Kristen Manis, Kaitlyn Manis, Eric Downing, Trent Mannocchi.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Johnson will be held Sunday, September 25, 2022, 2:30 P.M., at Journey Church, 1000 Royal Park Drive, in Between, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter at https://www.alz.org/georgia.
