Varina Anderson

Varina Anderson of Mansfield, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at the age of 95. Mrs. Anderson was a faithful member of High Point Baptist Church for 45 plus years. She enjoyed canning and freezing in the summer when fresh vegetables were in. In addition, she liked playing Bingo on Wednesday nights with the seniors at Kroger. She delighted in cooking for her family and baking cakes and sweets. Her family was her world and especially her grandchildren - she loved being called Grandma. Mrs. Anderson will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Anderson; and son, Anthony Anderson.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Janice Anderson, Mark and Sally Anderson, Jeff and Cathy Anderson; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Sara, Anice, Jan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Anderson will be held Monday, December 31, 2018, 1:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington with Rev. Tim Walden officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
