Terry Diones Navalta

Terry Diones Navalta of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at the age of 56. A wonderful wife, great mother, and loving sister, Mrs. Navalta was a member at Corpus Cristi Catholic Church. She relished in shopping for clothes and handbags, singing karaoke, dancing, and listening to 90’s music. Mrs. Navalta was giving, sweet and selfless and loved sending gifts to her relatives in the Philippines. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughing, going to parties and adored the time she spent with her family. Being a “foodie”, some of her family’s fondest memories were eating at various restaurants together. Mrs. Navalta was preceded in death by her parents, Hilario T. and Maria R. Diones; sister, Evangeline Barlaan; aunt, Marcelina Mintalar.

Mrs. Navalta will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years, Jesus Navalta; son, T.J. Navalta; sisters, Barbara Diones, Jean Cabahug, Florian Lalata; as well as her brother, Ben Diones.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Navalta will be held Monday, September 7, 2020, 1:00 P.M., at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 2560 Tilson Road, in Decatur, with Rev. Bryan Small officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family, Sunday, September 6, 2020, from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd. in Covington. A private burial will be held at Lawnwood Memorial Park. 

CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.  In addition, gatherings are limited to 50 persons or less in our facility at one time.  Please honor these restrictions for the safety of the family, yourself, and our staff.
