T.A. Waldrop

T. A. Waldrop, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the age of 81. Mr. Waldrop loved his church and was led by the spirit. Known as the “Porterdale Kid”, he never met a stranger and loved everyone. Despite Mr. Waldrop’s challenges he never complained and enjoyed going on vacation, playing the tambourine, and picking up cans. In addition, he was a sports fan and loved baseball and football – especially the Georgia Bulldogs. Mr. Waldrop was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Doris Waldrop.

Survivors include his sisters, Lucy Beal, Janice Womac, Linda Watkins; brothers, Pete Waldrop (Peggy), Rollie Waldrop (Joyce); 13 nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family members.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Waldrop will be held Friday, November 17, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Barney Jonson officiating and interment following in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, in Loganville. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Thursday, November 16, from 10:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.
