Shirley "Vonnie" Crowe

Shirley “Vonnie” Crowe of Monroe, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020, at the age of 70. Mrs. Crowe enjoyed working in her garden, canning, and was a wonderful cook and baker – she especially liked making her delicious banana pudding. She loved her family, grandchildren and church family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Crowe was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Junior Crowe; grandchild, Mandy Davenport; mother, Mildred Modene Coker; father, William Lamar Mathis; brother, Dewey Mathis.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Denise Davenport, Donnie and Kelley Davenport, Marshal and Jill Davenport; grandchildren and their spouses, Adam Davenport, Kayli and Ryan Parks, TJ Davenport, Scott Davenport, Payton Davenport; great-grandchildren, Kenli Parks, Kaydin Parks; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Mathis, Rickey and Tina Mathis, Mark and Ellen Carter, Barry and Connie Carter, Larry and Penny Carter; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Crowe will be held Sunday, August 2, 2020, 4:00 P.M., at Full Gospel Holiness Church, 3170 Highway 138, in Monroe, with Pastor Larry Carter and Todd Stone officiating, and interment following in Jersey Holiness Cemetery, in Jersey. Friends are invited to visit with the family, at the church, two hours prior to her service, from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M.
