Sandy Moon Obituary

On July 20, 2019, at the age of 57, Sandy Jeaneene Slaughter Moon, loving wife and mother, went to be with the Lord. Sandy was born in Decatur, GA, August 24, 1961. In 1977, she moved to Loganville, where she met and married Robert Moon. They remained in Loganville and raised their children, Dusti, Misty, and Robby. She loved spending time with her family and friends, riding her motorcycle, line dancing, singing karaoke, and trips to the beach. Sandy was very outgoing and enjoyed meeting people and making genuine connections. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. Sandy was preceded in death by her father and mother; Jimmy Slaughter and Shirley Griggs.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Robert Moon; her three children, Dusti Young, Robby Moon, and Misty Moon; two grandchildren, Joshua Young, Evan Young; sister, Regina O'Brien; brother, James Griggs; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Service for Sandy will be held Sunday, July 28, 2019, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Bro. Bill Stafford officiating. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home, one hour prior to her service, from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M.
