Sabra Ann Wheeler

Sabra Ann Wheeler, of Social Circle, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the age of 97. Mrs. Wheeler was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Social Circle. She was a professional seamstress, loved to cook, and enjoyed planning dinners and holidays. Mrs. Wheeler will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Wheeler; parents, James Wallace and Josie Mae Pope; and two sisters.

Survivors include her children, Charlotte Burcham (James), Teresa Wheat (Paul), Jimmy Wheeler (Vicky), Phillip Wheeler (Kim), Keith Wheeler (Candace); 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and 1 on the way; 1 brother; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Wheeler will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023, 12:30 P.M, at Berean Baptist Church, 12975 Highway 278, in Social Circle, with Rev. Jonathan Banks and Rev. Chris Mitchell officiating and interment following in Dawn Memorial Park, in Decatur. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church one hour prior to her service, from 11:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.
