Rollene Blackstock

Rollene Blackstock, of Newborn, passed away August 9, 2015, at the age of 69. Retired from BellSouth, Mrs. Blackstock loved helping people and would treat them like they were her children. Everybody called her Mama! She enjoyed traveling to the beach. Mrs. Blackstock loved her grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Scott Blackstock; daughters, Terrie Denise Blackstock, Betsy Blackstock; parents, Rhollie Harding and Mary Helen Butler; brothers, Johnny Harding Butler and Hugh Troy Butler.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, James (Jim) Edwin Blackstock; daughter, Shilia Amanda (Mandy) Moon; grandson, Jordan Tyler Moon; granddaughter, Marrisa Caitlyn Moon; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Janice Butler, all of Newborn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Blackstock will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015, 6:00 PM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Andrew Butler and John Verschuren officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, Tuesday, August 11, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
