Reginald "Moe" West Obituary

Reginald “Moe” West, of Porterdale, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the age of 54. Mr. West was a machine operator for Sweetheart Plastics, and most recently, worked in the concrete and landscaping business. He was a fun-loving man with an outgoing personality; there was never a dull moment when he was around. Mr. West enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and going fishing. Additionally, he was the grill master for all the gatherings. Mr. West was a devoted fan of the Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta Falcons. He also encouraged his grandchildren in their respective sports, cheering them on in their practices and games. Mr. West never gave up or quit believing in himself or his family; he motivated everyone with his never give up mentality. He had a big heart for his loved ones and would fight and put his life on the line selflessly for them. Mr. West was a devoted husband and cherished the time he spent with his sons and grandchildren. He adored his family immensely. Mr. West was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Brown; father, Lewis West, sister, Demtria White, and brother, Ralph Burnett.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley West; sons, Demarcus Jones, Reginald Jones (Cynteria), Antrevious Bryant; stepdaughter, Terryona Dennis; stepsons, Terry Delamar, Robbie Smith; 9 grandchildren; sisters, Anita Sheppard, Nikki Cox, Trellis Cobb, Casandra West, Felicia Jackson, Tamitha West; brother, Raymond West; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mr. West will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021, 3:00 P.M., at Greater Hope Christian Church, 1495 Old McDonough Hwy, in Conyers, with Pastor Rich Delamar and Pastor Sylvia Delamar officiating.
