Phyllis Ann Watkins

Phyllis Ann Watkins, of Oxford, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the age of 72. Mrs. Watkins was an exceptional caregiver and always made sure to do everything she could for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, history, listening to music and dancing, and liked to travel and especially loved Disney. Mrs. Watkins was an amazing cook and enjoyed celebrating Christmas. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lauren Watkins; daughter, Crystal Kendrick; parents, Lynwood and Mildred Blount; sister, Nancy Campbell; and brothers, Larry Blount, Michael Blount, Richard Blount, Tommy Blount.

Survivors include her daughter, Deanna Fincher (Scott), step-daughter, Kelly Watkins (Teresa Hetrick) grandchildren, Brandy Daniecki (Johnathan), Bobby Glaze, Nicholas Iannuzzi, Baleigh Fincher, Abigail Fincher, Hayley Waltenbaugh; great-grandchildren, Vaida Glaze, Crystlynn Glaze, Sophia Glaze, Ansley Daniecki; and sister, Linda Whitaker.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Watkins will be held Friday, April 26, 2024, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Alex Culpepper officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Friday, two hours prior to her service, from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
