Penny Louise Ivey, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the age of 67. Mrs. Ivey attended Living Way World Church, in Covington, when she was able to and loved to watch Joel Olstein on TV. She liked sewing and crocheting, talking on the phone and watching her favorite show, Grey’s Anatomy. Mrs. Ivey enjoyed having flowers, especially roses and gladiolus. But above all, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the time she spent with them. Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Ivey; father, Robert Joe Lazenby; and mother, Katie Williams.
Survivors include her daughters, Michelle McGiboney (Benjamin), Christy Leonguerrero; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Thompson (Austin), Brian McGiboney (Maria), Matthew McGiboney, Leah McGiboney, Lorelei Moon (Chris), Breanna Leonguerrero; father of Lorelei and Breanna – John Leonguerrero; great-grandchildren, Maggie Thompson, Delilah Thompson; special nieces, Janie Worthy, Victoria Hardin; as well as sisters and brothers.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Ivey will be held Thursday, April 25, 1:30 P.M., at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Mac Goss officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family Thursday, April 25, from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington.
