Nafeesa Spence, also known as “Min”, of Covington, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the age of 74. She was a devout Christian and Woman of God who was a member of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ Apostolic, Inc. Mom was a brilliant soul and well educated with a long career in accounting after completing her Master’s Degree in Accounting in 1985. She loved traveling to her hometown of Jamaica W.I. and was proud of her Jamaican roots, enjoyed her daily bible devotions, and was a lover of music from gospel to calypso and reggae. In addition, Mom was a kind and caring woman that was known for helping all in need. She loved her family and grandchildren dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughter, Tanya Wallace; son-in-law, Robin Foster; grandchildren, Crystal, Tyler, Dvonte, Courtney, Chevelle, Bianca, Tyreke; god-daughter, Nikeisha Miles; step-daughter, Ingrid Spence; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
A Funeral Service for Ms. Spence will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021, 2 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with her family at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service, from 12 Noon – 2 PM.
