Mazie Ann Cornett Davis

Wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 13, 2022, at the age of 84.

Mazie is survived by her three children, daughters Melody Moroni and Vicky [Shawn] Holmes, and son Russ [Tammy] Davis, twelve grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a beloved sister & brother-in-law Tommy & Linda Davis and many nieces and nephews.

Mazie was born July 1937 to Marvin & Gladys Cornett in Hartman, Arkansas and lived her young life in Clarksville, Arkansas. She later resided in Williston, South Carolina during her high school years where she met her future husband George [Dave] Davis. They married in 1958 eventually moving and welcoming three children that they raised in Aiken, South Carolina. The next move after an empty nest took them to various places in Georgia, settling long term in Social Circle where they became members of Trinity Presbyterian Church and dedicated their hearts to missions. During an outreach to Haiti, they connected with Louis & Anne Sully now residing in Grand Cayman and they became a part of their extended forever family.

Mazie was united with Dave in their commitment to their church family with a passion for missions. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, sewing and she especially loved cooking and planning social gatherings from two for lunch to a large group.

Although she will be missed, we know one day soon we will be reunited with her in heaven where we all will be whole, healed, and free, spending eternity together with Jesus.

Her family will be honoring her memory in a private graveside service.
