Marsha Lynn Mitchell

Marsha Lynn Mitchell, of Newborn, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the age of 70. Mrs. Mitchell was a loving wife, mother, and best friend to all, and adored her children and grandchildren. She had an adventurous soul and was a wonderful cook who made the best banana pudding. She was everyone’s angel and is now in heaven. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Lee and Marian Rebecca Clack.

Survivors include her loving husband, Darren Lee Mitchell; daughters, Shannon Leigh Franklin, Rallie Mitchell (Bobby), Heather Shayne Mitchell; son, Kenny Mitchell (Brandy); 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jodie Aziz (Taufiq), Pamela Sue Clack, Virginia Stallworth (Buster), brothers, Edward Clack, Jr. (Debra), Darrell Dewayne Clack; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Mitchell will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021, 2:00 P.M., at Gospel Mission Church, 755 Almon Road, in Covington, with Pastor Wayne Whitley and Rev. Otis Mitchell officiating and interment following in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Stone Mountain. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church three hours prior to her service, from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.
