Joey Miller

Joey Miller, of Oxford, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the age of 69. Joey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conyers where he used to work with the children’s ministry. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, working in the yard, and walking and playing with his dogs. Joey was a jack-of-all-trades, good with his hands, and artistically talented. Other people and auto repair shops would often call him for his mechanical expertise and general advice. Joey was patient, made friends easily, was always willing to help others, and was a mentor to a lot of people. He was kind, good-hearted and always showed he cared for others. In addition, he was a great cook and was known for making some of the best cheese balls. Above all, what Joey loved the most was spending time with his family. He enjoyed attending every game and event of his grandchildren’s and they were his top priority. Joey will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandpa who loved his family unconditionally. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene “Gene” Miller; and brother, David Miller.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 50 years, Michelle Miller; daughters, Kimberly Causby (Kevin), Katie Wilson; grandchildren, Liam Wilson, Connor Causby, Mayson Causby; mother, Irma Miller; brothers, Gary Miller (Becky), Dean Miller (Susan); sisters-in-law, Patricia Carter, Jenny Wells (Steve); as well as other loving family members.  

A Funeral Service for Mr. Miller will be held Sunday, May 28, 2023, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington with Ron Evans officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to his service, from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
