Janice Faye Broadwater

Janice Faye Broadwater, of Monticello, GA, was called home Monday, January 29, 2024, at the age of 76. Jan was a proud member of Monticello Baptist Church. She was very involved with her church, loved singing, and listening to Gospel music. Jan was a proud member of the Group 55 and Alive, Sunday school class, singing in the choir, and Project Linus. She loved playing Bridge every Sunday and hanging out with her best friend Roxanne W. In addition, she enjoyed gardening, walking, traveling, shopping, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Jan loved her family above everything.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Broadwater Sr.; parents, King, Jr., and Ollie Chandler; brother and sister-in-law, King Chandler III, and Yvonne Chandler; sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine Beavers and James Beavers; brother, Cornelius Chandler, Melvin Chandler, and sister, Joyce Ann Dunlap.

Survivors include her children, Dorlesta Broadwater, Eddie Lee Broadwater Jr. (Alonda); grandchildren, Ashri Broadwater, Ashley Broadwater, Kurt Broadwater, Arielle Broadwater, Arianna Broadwater, Aerilyn Broadwater; great grandchildren, Elijah Broadwater and Paris Broadwater; siblings, James Chandler (Evelyn), Stanley Muhammed (Donna) Bishop Lovell Chandler, Sr., (Latricia), Manuel Fitch; sister-in-law Katie Chandler; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great aunt, and cousins.

A Viewing for Jan will be held Saturday February 3, 2024, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 1215 Access Road, Covington, GA 30014, from 10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., and family will be present from 1:00P.M. - 3:00 P.M.

On Friday, February 9, 2024 a viewing will be held at Wallace Broadview Funeral Home for Jan. A funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, 11:00 A.M., at Broadview Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2100 S. 25th Ave. Broadview, IL 60155. Bishop Lovell Chandler, Sr. will be officiating, and she will be laid to rest at Oakridge-Glen Oak Cemetery, located at 4301 Roosevelt Rd. Hillside, IL 60162. Family will be present at the church from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.
