Horace Dale Harvard, Sr.

Horace Dale Harvard, Sr., of Mansfield, passed away January 19, 2021, at the age of 66. A proud veteran of the National Guard, Mr. Harvard was a family man to his core. His drive and ambition were instrumental in his success as a provider, and he was always there to lend a hand or to simply offer moral support. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Velma Lou (Huggins) Harvard; sister, Estell Harvard, brothers, Yale Harvard, Jake Harvard.

Mr. Harvard’s legacy of love will forever remain with his wife of 43 years, Lisa Harvard; daughters, Hope Hendrix, Ashley Harvard; sons and daughters-in-law, Horace Dale Harvard, Jr., Patrick and Sydney Harvard, Calvin and Harley Harvard; grandchildren, Marilyn Hendrix, Trinity Hendrix, Mason Harvard, Sadie Harvard, Dawson Harvard, Leilani Harvard; sister, Nina Sontag; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Cheryl Harvard, Johnny Harvard, George and Claudia Harvard.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Harvard will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with his family at the funeral home, Monday, January 25, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.

CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.  In addition, gatherings are limited to 50 persons or less in our facility at one time.  Please honor these restrictions for the safety of the family, yourself, and our staff.
