Gene Hubbard Obituary

Gene Hubbard, age 77, passed away August 14, 2014, at his home in Covington. Mr. Hubbard enjoyed hunting and going to gun shows. He was a very giving person and would help anyone who needed help. Mr. Hubbard will be remembered as a man who adored Jane, his wife of 55 years, and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Birtie (Ashmore) Hubbard.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Hubbard of Covington; daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia and Daniel Chavez of Conyers, Bonnie Fambrough of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, John Veal of Covington; Richard and Leah Hubbard, Kevin Hubbard, all of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Geneva and Richard Brown of Scottsboro, AL; as well as nieces and a nephew.

The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Friday, August 15, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
