OBITUARY
Franklin Canup of Covington, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018, at the age of 68. Franklin retired from Dart Container after 24 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding horses and raising his farm animals. In addition, Franklin liked traveling to the mountains. He was a devoted husband and loved his family dearly - never hesitating to help anyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest L. and Frances Lenora (Carter) Canup; sister, Linda Sue Wilbanks.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Reesie Canup; son and daughter-in-law, E.J. and Jamie Canup; grandchildren, Lenore Canup, Sara Canup, Gloria Canup, Elizabeth Canup, Corey Alt; great-grandchildren; Gracie Alt, Isabell Canup, Lucas Alt; sister, Sis Shaw; and brother, Charles Canup.
A Graveside Service for Franklin will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018, 2:00 PM, in Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, Covington with Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Wednesday, October 10, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
