Esther Ellingsworth Obituary
Esther Ellingsworth of Social Circle, passed away December 23, 2016, at the age of 88. Mrs. Ellingsworth, the eldest of ten, left St. Meinrad, IN, to attend college in Louisville, Kentucky. While working in Louisville, she met Henry Ellingsworth, to whom she was married for 50 years. After moving to St. Petersburg, FL, the couple started a landscape company, Ellingsworth Gardens. In addition to being a business owner, Mrs. Ellingsworth was a doting mother, wonderful wife, and a great cook. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by Henry Ellingsworth; parents, Edward Meyer and Claudia (Schnellenburger) Meyer; sisters, Rita Gahlheusen, Stella Taber; brother, Clarence Meyer.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Timothy Powers of Social Circle, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Elaine Ellingsworth of Webster, FL; grandchildren, Tessa Powers of Social Circle, GA, Jennifer Powers of Miami, FL, Steven Ellingsworth of Hudson, FL, Pamela Hinton, Patricia Ellingsworth, both of Webster, FL; great-grandson, Kelly Preston III of Webster, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beatrice and Richard Ellingsworth of Jeffersontown, KY, Phyllis and Clifford Nystrom of Grand Forks, ND, Carla Neukam of Huntingburg, IN, Elsie Phieler of Lancesville, IN, Ralph Taber of Evansville, IN, Janie and Cricket Schnieders of Ferdinand, IN; brother, Dennis Meyer of Indianapolis, IN; sister-in-law, Laverne Meyer of Ferdinand, IN.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
