Earsie Cartledge Obituary

Earsie Eloise Cartledge of Oxford, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020, at the age of 90. Ms. Cartledge was an exceptional cook and was known for making her famous lemon pound cakes. Although those closest to her affectionately referred to her as “feisty”, she loved her family dearly and treasured the time spent with them – especially her daughter, Elaine. In her spare time, Ms. Cartledge enjoyed many hobbies such as traveling to the mountains, watching game shows, and doing word search puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luby and Lena Maloy; 9 brothers and sisters.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Buddy Fuller; grandchildren, Alanna and Kenny Chambers, Lauren and Josh Moody, Shane Fuller, Mark and Jessie Fuller, Dewayne and Tina Fuller; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

A Private Graveside Service for Ms. Cartledge will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020, 11:00 A.M., at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. David C. Moody officiating.
