Donnie Spell

Donnie Spell, of Covington, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021, at the age of 59. An avid outdoorsman, Donnie enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and grilling. He also liked restoring old cars and had a strong inclination of doing things his way. Additionally, Donnie took delight in watching Andy Griffith. But most of all, Donnie loved spending time with his family – especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jenny Spell Simmons; and father, Lloyd Spell.

Survivors include his daughters, Whitney Mackenzie (Wayne), Jessica Corbett (Shane), grandchildren, Conner, Mckenly, Madison, Chelsie, Bella, Rhandi Michelle; mother, Kathryn Spell; sisters, Kaye Plitt (Steve), Patsy Teague, Deborah Knight; Brothers, Ronnie Spell (Sheri), Joe Spell (Leigh Ann); numerous nieces and nephews; as well as significant other, Lisa English.  

A Memorial Service for Donnie will be held at a later date.
