Cynthia Cooke Obituary

Cynthia Agatha Cooke of Covington, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020, at the age of 62. Ms. Cooke immigrated to the United States in 2017, from Jamaica, and attended Conyers Seventh-day Adventist Church. Working as a seamstress for over 35 years, she was well-loved, willing to help anyone and made many friends. Ms. Cooke was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Justina Cooke; brothers, Bynell Cooke, Herman Cooke.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Venecia Dunbar; grandchildren, Lyra-Song Dunbar, Nova-Ria Cynthia Dunbar, Sincere Johnson; sisters, Lynette Cooke, Avis Cooke, Pearl Cooke, Nalda Joan Cooke, Olive Cooke; brothers, Hubert Cooke, Manley Cooke; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Ms. Cooke will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Curtis Fox officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Thursday, one hour prior to her service, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M.
