Connie Corn

Connie Corn, of Oxford, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at the age of 92. Mrs. Corn was a hard worker and a great provider for her family. She enjoyed watching sports, cooking for her family, going to the VFW to play Bingo, and watching her game shows. In her younger years, Mrs. Corn loved to dance and was a practical joker. She will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Corn was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Lee Corn; daughter, Maria Olivia Eskew; son, Freddie Bailey; parents, William Cleveland and Minnie Versie Balentine; and brothers, Robert Balentine, Norman Balentine (Debbie).

Survivors include her son, Richard Bailey (Barbara Noah); 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Corn will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M.
