Bobby J. Boss

Bobby J. Boss of Oxford, passed away September 24, 2015, at the age of 81. Mr. Boss was a skilled handyman who enjoyed frequenting yard sales and vegetable gardening. As a talented musician, he loved playing the piano and guitar. He had a heart for all animals, but he especially adored his chickens. Mr. Boss was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, and cherished the time he spent vacationing with his family in the Smoky Mountains. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lucille Boss.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Juliette T. Boss; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mark Floyd of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Melissa Boss of Oxford; grandchildren, Matt and Chelle Rodman, Hailey Rodman, Anslee Boss, Maddie Jackson, Grady Boss; great-grandson, David Matthew Rodman, Jr.; sisters and brother-in-law, Joann Coker, Gereline and Johnny Leachman; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Virginia Boss; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Boss will be held Sunday, September 27, 2015, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Jerry Barrett officiating and interment following in New Covington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, September 26, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
