Yevdokiya Ivanovna Bugera was born in Ukraine into a family where she was the youngest of four children—having two sisters and a brother. Yevdokiya's parents came to faith in adulthood and served the church; as a result, her father, Ivan, was imprisoned, and the entire family lived in hardship and faced persecution, as Soviet law prohibited preaching the Bible.

Upon reaching adulthood, Yevdokiya also embraced the faith and was baptized; she attended church, welcomed fellow Christians into her home, and married Ivan Alexandrovich, with whom she raised a family. Yevdokiya worked in a hospital cafeteria and as a dormitory attendant. After arriving in America, she attended church, lived for God and her family, and enjoyed needlework, gardening, and tending to her flowers. Yevdokiya loved her friends, reading, and singing! Now, she sings in heaven within the great choir of the saints!

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Bugera will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2026, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home one prior to her service on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M.
