Obituary

William Cody Lynch, of Buckhead, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the age of 41. William was a devoted husband, father, and son whose greatest priority in life was caring for and providing for his family. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, he built his own business from the ground up, transforming it into a successful small business that reflected his dedication and strong work ethic.

William was deeply passionate about helping others, especially within the recovery community. Having rebuilt his own life, he openly shared his story to inspire hope and encourage those facing similar struggles. As a member of the Newton County Drug Court Advisory Board, he worked tirelessly to support others on their journey, believing that anyone could overcome adversity and create a better future.

Known for his selfless nature, William always put others before himself. He was the kind of person you could call at any time, knowing he would be there without hesitation. He never met a stranger and always took the time to speak to those around him. His contagious smile and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

In his free time, William found great joy in hunting. He especially loved preparing his hunting spot and spending quiet hours watching the deer he cherished so much. Above all, he treasured his family and took great pride in ensuring that his wife and children always had everything they needed. His love, generosity, and unwavering support will be remembered by all who were blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stacy Lynch; grandparents, John Woodlee, Horace and Kathyleen Lynch.

Survivors include his loving wife Brittany Lynch; children, Sara Lynch, Elijah Lynch, Victoria Lynch, Axel Lynch, Nathan Moses; parents, Pennie and Robert Richter; grandparents, Daisy and Roy Love; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
