William Eugene Golden

William Eugene Golden, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the age of 70. Mr. Golden, a beloved member of the Newton Baptist Church community, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and faith. Known for his quick wit, charm, and infectious sense of humor, he brought joy to all who knew him.

A skilled woodworker and avid outdoorsman, Mr. Golden found peace in nature, whether casting a line while fishing, enjoying time on his boat, or adding to his cherished gun collection. His love for the simple pleasures in life and his deep devotion to his church family made him a cherished friend and mentor.

He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his laughter, craftsmanship, and steadfast faith.

Survivors include his children, Kathy Golden Cearley, David Golden, Billy Golden; grandchildren, Dustin Ellis, Blake Hall, Camilla Golden, Cooper Golden; as well as 3 great-grandchildren.
