Obituary

Wanda Gaye Floyd Davis passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026. She was born April 10, 1949 in Atlanta, GA to the late Roy Lee and Ruby Floyd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother David Lee and his wife Shirley Floyd, her sister Margaret Hubbard.

Her survivors include her loving husband of 52 years William Theodore Davis “Ted”. Her Children Christopher Davis of Social Circle, and Tammy Davis of Covington. Grandchildren William Lee Davis and Benjamin Jacob Davis.

Wanda started her employment career night out of high school with the First National Bank of Atlanta. After many years she left the bank to start a new chapter to work for the State of Georgia Mental Health Department. From there she moved forward and retired from QSP.

Wanda loved the Lord, she was born and raised in church her entire life. She served alongside her husband in any capacity needed. At the time of her death, they were members of Higher Praise Tabernacle in Covington, Ga. She also loved and collected porcelain dolls and M & M memorabilia.

This Lady was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Her love and her legacy she leaves behind for her family and church family will be carried on in the hearts and memories of all that loved her.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Davis will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit witht the family at the funeral home Thursday, July 16, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.
