Virginia Fay Pearson, of Oxford, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the age of 78. Mrs. Pearson was a resilient and strong-willed woman whose faith and love for others guided her throughout her life. A devoted prayer warrior, she found joy in her church family, neighbors and friends, tending to her flower garden, antiquing, and watching Western shows and movies. Known for her organized nature and caring spirit, she touched many lives with her strength, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

Mrs. Pearson also loved sewing and playing the piano, finding peace and joy in both. She was the cofounder of Operation Sandbox, where for 10 years she faithfully helped send care packages overseas to those in need and serving abroad. Her dedication and compassionate service earned her special recognition and an award for her work, reflecting the generous heart and servant spirit she carried throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Dehart Burnett and Willie Frances Burnett; and brother, Lamar Burnett.

Survivors include her children, Robin Singleton, Julie Kines; grandchildren, Autumn Brooke Singleton, Madeline Sky Singleton, Willow Grace Singleton; as well as her sister, Gail Richardson.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Pearson will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, 11:00 A.M, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Friday, May 22, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.
