Theresa Marlene O'Kelley

Theresa Marlene O'Kelley was born on June 16, 1949, at Porterdale Hospital. She was 75 years old. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Bobbye Ceil O'Kelley, and her sister, Jill O'Kelley Knight. She is survived by her sister, Karen O'Kelley; her goddaughter, Danielle Holmes; and her nephew and niece, Jacob Knight and Kelli Lunn. She is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews. Clements, held a very special place in Theresa's heart and life.

After graduating from Newton High School, Theresa worked for the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), serving as the secretary to the Deputy Regional Commissioner. She later became secretary to the Regional Commissioner, then advanced to roles as Budget Analyst and Administrative Officer. Eventually, Theresa served as the RASO (Regional Administrative Services Officer), supervising the Regional Administrative Services Office for the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM) under the U.S.
Department of Labor.

Theresa was known for her sense of humor, her love of reading, and her passion for solving mysteries. She had a vast collection of mystery books. She was a faithful member of Julia A. Porter Church in Porterdale, Georgia, where she served on numerous committees and supported various church projects. She was also a member of the Porterdale Women's Club, where she served as secretary.

Memorial services for Theresa O' Kelley will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 2:00 p.m. at Julia A. Porter Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Julia A. Porter Food Pantry:
