Sylvia Shymko

Sylvia Shymko of Oxford, passed away February 17, 2011, at the age of 70. Ms. Shymko enjoyed working, traveling, and working in her flower garden. She loved her cats and her goat. Ms. Shymko was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Red and Myrtle Johnson.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Casandra and Robert Pestle of Oxford; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Terri Sweat of Nokomis, Fl; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Riley Pestle, Emily Pestle, Johanna Pestle, Morgan Sweat, Samantha Sweat; brother, Tim Johnson of Porterdale; nieces and nephews, Susie and Tommy Spikes, Brooke, Brittney, Christie, T.R., Adyn. A Memorial Service for Ms. Shymko will be held Monday, February 21, 2011, 3:00 PM, at Cornish Mountain Baptist Church, in Covington.
