Stephanie Marie Stone, fondly remembered by her family and friends for her compassionate nature, passed away peacefully in her place of birth, Covington, GA, on March 13, 2026, at the age of 38. Born on June 9, 1987, to Cindy Croy and William Yates, Stephanie's kindness throughout her life, bringing joy and comfort to those around her.
Embodying the very essence of love and friendship, Stephanie's life was a testament to her generous spirit. She lived each day with fierce affection for her family, and her unwavering strength was an inspiration to all who knew her. Stephanie's legacy of tenderness is carried on by her beloved children, Nicolas and Jordy Garcia; her dedicated mother and stepfather, Cindy and Sam Croy as well as her father William Yates; and her siblings Jennifer Gordon, Crystal and Tony Gonzalez, Heather Stone, and Amy and Ocxiel Ramos. She shared an exceptionally close bond with her grandmother, Dorothy Stone, who survives her, offering an inexhaustible source of love and guidance.
Stephanie is warmly remembered by her cherished nieces and nephews, Katelyn Stone, Madelyn and Mckenna Gordon, Dalton Woody, and Jacob Gonzalez. They (along with many others) were the fortunate recipients of her boundless kindness.
Her presence will be deeply missed but graciously remembered by the extended Stone and Yates families, including her friends and everyone touched by her generous soul. Stephanie had the unique gift of seeing the best in people and approached everyone with open arms and an open heart. Her friendships were many, her kind words uncountable, and her fondness for putting others first shaped a life that was truly impactful.
Stephanie's great grandparents, Frances and George Robert Stone, grandfather, Larry Stone, her brother Michael Yates and nephew, Isaiah Stone, preceded her in death, passing on a legacy of strength and love that she upheld with immense grace throughout her lifetime.
With her radiant smile, Stephanie will live on in the hearts of those she knew. Her influence remains imprinted not just in the lives she directly touched but in the countless kind acts inspired by her memory.
