Shirley Mitchell

Shirley Mitchell of Conyers passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at the age of 81. Mrs. Mitchell attended Journey Baptist Church in Covington. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Preceding Mrs. Mitchell in death was her husband of 58 years, Theron Mitchell; son, Keith Mitchell; parents, Bennie and Ruby Morris; sister, Geraldine Anderson; and brothers, Robert Morris, Bennie Williams.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Morris Mitchell and wife, Jenny; grandchildren, Samuel Mitchell, Holly Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell; sister and brother-in-law, Margaritte and Paul Malloy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Mitchell will be held Sunday, May 28, 2017, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Terry Brock and Rev. Roger Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, 677 Legion Road, Conyers. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home, Saturday, May 27, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
