In Loving Memory of Semintra Juggernauth

Semintra Juggernauth was born on February 14, 1930, in Georgetown, Guyana. She lived a life marked by love, humility, strength, and devotion to her family.

Semintra came from humble beginnings. After losing her mother at an early age and being separated from her siblings, she learned the meaning of responsibility and perseverance. As the oldest child, she helped care for her siblings and carried herself with quiet strength throughout her life.

She worked hard from an early age, including serving in the home of a wealthy family. It was there that she met her beloved husband, Kayba Ramotar, who was working as a businessman in farming crops. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and faith. They were married for 45 years until his passing. She immigrated to the USA in 1965.

Semintra was a devoted mother to eight children, five daughters and three sons. She was loving, kind, caring, and always smiling. She was never materialistic; her heart was centered on her family and doing whatever it took to provide for them. She was hardworking, generous, and deeply respected in her community.

A religious Hindu Brahmin, Semintra lived with faith, humility, and grace. She was known for her charity work and her willingness to help others. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, shopping, walking, cooking, and keeping a clean and welcoming home. She worked at the Hope Office in Guyana and continued to show dedication and care in everything she did.

Semintra passed away on June, 11, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

Semintra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kayba Ramotar, her two sisters, her brother, and 2 children Davanan and Carmen. She was the last surviving sibling.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and family. She is survived by her living children, Sham, Sisto, Buddy, Baby, Sissy, and Vime; 5 son-in-laws, and 3 daughter-in-laws, 26 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Semintra will be remembered as a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, a humble woman of faith, and a caring soul who gave selflessly to her family and community. Her love, kindness, and smile will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
