Salem Corine Melton

With profound sorrow and tender love, we announce the passing of our precious baby, Salem Corine Melton, who was born on May 7, 2025, and passed away on May 10, 2025.

Though her time on this earth was heartbreakingly brief, Salem showed a strength that will be remembered forever. She fought with all her might for three days, a tiny warrior wrapped in warmth and surrounded by love.

Salem entered the world with a full head of thick, beautiful black hair and a quiet, gentle spirit that immediately captured the hearts of all who met her. Her nursery, lovingly prepared in soft purples and pinks with a sweet panda bear theme, waited to hold the memories her family will now carry in their hearts instead.

She is survived by her devoted mother, Shaniya Melton, and her loving grandmother, Jaquanna Melton, who both cherished and adored her beyond measure. Though their arms are empty, their hearts are full of love for the baby girl they will always carry with them.

Salem is preceded in death by her great-great-grandparents, Corine Melton Freeman and James Freeman, who now welcome her with open arms.

Though your time here was short, sweet Salem, your impact is everlasting.
