Raymond Brown

April 9, 1945 — September 15, 2025

Loganville

Raymond Brown, known to all as Ray, of Loganville, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at the age of 80. “Born and raised in the hills of Kentucky, where they pumped sunshine in during the day and moonshine out at night.” Ray was a man full of love, laughter, and stories that could light up any room. He had a true passion for cooking and was especially proud of his Sunday dinners, where family and friends gathered around his table to share good food and even better memories. His homemade desserts were always a favorite, and his sense of humor - whether through a well-timed story or a playful scare he kept everyone on their toes.

He was Papaw to everyone, not just his family, and his big heart made everyone feel welcome. A lifelong car enthusiast and a dedicated Kentucky Wildcat fan, he found joy in the simple things he loved most. He liked westerns, and he was a man that wore many hats… literally. Ray also proudly served his country in the United States Army for five years, a part of his life he carried with pride.

To know him was to love him, and his laughter, love, and kindness will be cherished forever.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Brown; parents, Bill and Lilly Brown; Siblings, Ed Brown, Evelyn Parker, Wayne Brown, Lonnie Brown, Donnie Brown, Jean Parker, Georgia Fortner, Darrell Brown, Jenny Brown.

He is survived by his sons, Brian Brown (Renee), Aaron Brown (Holly); daughters, Libby Brown, Stacy Stewart (Jason), Kristen Allen (Lonnie), grandchildren, Alyssa Brown, Kennedy Stewart, Madison Stewart, Nevin Brown, Taylor Stewart, Lucy Allen, Haylee Harrison, Hunter Brown, Liv Allen; great-grandchild, Salem Yancey; brother-in-law and best friend, Jim Fortner;
