Ralph Lee "Bo" Giles, III

Ralph Lee “Bo” Giles, III, age 59, of Cartersville Georgia, peacefully passed away Monday, December 29, 2025, surrounded by his wife, children, mother, stepfather, brother and niece, at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Atlanta Georgia.

Bo was born January 21, 1966, in Decatur Georgia, to Ralph Lee “Bud” Giles, Jr. and Betty Thomas Giles.

Bo grew up in Conyers Georgia, where he graduated from Rockdale County Highschool in 1985. He loved his friends and his community where he would go on to spend his life and start a career as a Deputy with the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office.

Bo was a music lover and an avid adventurer, he loved to hunt, fish, and ride his motorcycle. He loved to play music, whether in the car or laying on the floor at home in front of his large stereo system. He never met a stranger and often had hilarious and elaborate stories to keep everyone laughing. He was full of life and loved with his whole heart. He enjoyed staying in touch with his childhood and lifelong friends and sharing his life through social media. He adored time spent with his grandchildren and family. He was a wonderful cook, and grill master. Later in life, he enjoyed the free-ness of riding his motorcycle more often and he cherished time spent riding with his son through the North Georgia Mountains.

Bo was proceeded in death by his father, Ralph Lee Giles, Jr., and several beloved grandparents and great-grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Jarrett-Giles, his mother, Betty Thomas Rusher and stepfather, Mike Rusher of Canton, Georgia. His brother, Russell Giles (nieces Leigh Ann & Caroline Giles) of Canton Georgia. His son, Corey Lee Giles and wife Daniella Giles of Mansfield Georgia. His Daughter, Kayla Giles of Mansfield Georgia. His three beloved grandchildren, Ryleigh Giles (Corey), Axel Carter (Corey), and Nora Hunt (Kayla).

A Memorial Service to honor Bo's life will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, 1:30 P.M., at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home prior to his service, from 12:00 P.M. - 1:30 P.M.
