Obituary

Philip Michael Redmond, Sr., of Conyers, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Syracuse, New York, Mr. Redmond was a humble, hardworking man who devoted his life to his family. He shared 63 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, his wife, who was the most important person in the world to him. He loved his family dearly and was always there to lend a helping hand to his children and anyone else in need.

Known for his great sense of humor and quick comebacks, Mr. Redmond could always bring a smile and a laugh to those around him. He was the kind of man who could fix anything he set his mind to and never hesitated to lend a hand. He was a wonderful neighbor and a friend to many.

Mr. Redmond enjoyed riding his bike, staying active, and spending time with his family. He also had a special love for his animals. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and family man who worked hard to provide for those he loved. His kindness, humor, willingness to help, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marjorie Redmond; brothers, Joe Redmond, Ronnie Redmond; and sister, Susie Redmond.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Redmond; daughters, Victoria Lawrence (Woody), Deborah Brown (Pete); sons, Michael Redmond (Silvia), Mark Redmond (Robyn); grandchildren, Brittney Haizlip (Justin), Bryan Lawrence, Zack Redmond, James Redmond, Blake Redmond, Diana Almond, Clint Aaron (Shannon), Todd Crumbliss, Paul Crumbliss (Kristi), Taylor Head (Austin), Jordan Sprinkle, Alania Brown, Benjamin Brown; numerous great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Redmond will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to his service, from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M.
