Penny Garmon, of Oxford, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 58. Mrs. Garmon was a true “momma bear” always putting others’ needs above her own. She was strong-willed, enjoyed working outside, plating flowers, and riding horses. Mrs. Garmon was preceded in death by her mother, Glenda Fillingim; and father, Pete Shelwick.
Survivors include her daughters, Alisha Fraire (Daniel), Casey Neihaus (Michael); sons, Shane Garmon (Christine), Cody Garmon; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Paula Smith; brothers, Pete Shelwick, Skeet Fillingim, Jr.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Garmon will be held privately.
