Patricia June Waldrop

Patricia June Waldrop, of Oxford, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the age of 94. Mrs. Waldrop held a strong faith in God, was an involved member of Covington First Methodist Church and volunteered her time in many different ministries in the church. She was a nurse with a big heart and thoroughly enjoyed caring for others in their time of need. Mrs. Waldrop was an avid book reader and liked to crochet in times of relaxation. She was a strong woman with a great sense of humor and was very smart, creative, and quick-witted. Mrs. Waldrop adored her family and was a devoted military wife, loving mother, dedicated grandmother, and compassionate great-grandmother. She cherished spending time with her family and will be missed immensely. Mrs. Waldrop was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Andrew J. Waldrop; daughter, Marilyn Waldrop; and parents, J.P. and Annice Robards.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Minton; grandchildren, Melissa Powers (Matt), Mary McKee (Matt); and great-grandchildren, Wyatt Powers, Max McKee, and Mason McKee.
