Patricia Anne Brake, of Covington, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the age of 65. Mrs. Brake was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed camping trips to Lake Oconee and Cherokee, tending to her beautiful flowers, and watching butterflies flutter through her garden. She also enjoyed visiting different flea markets and attending auctions. Mrs. Brake also had a special love for her dogs, who brought her constant companionship and joy. Her kindness, love, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her step-son, Delane Brake; parents, Johnny and Sarah Banks; and her brother, Johnny Banks.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Brake; son, Dean Brake (Melanie); step-children, Angie Rue, Melvin, II Brake (Laura), Johnny Brake (Julie); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa McCain (Troy); as well as her brothers, Sammy Banks, David Banks, Gary Banks, Sr., Steven Banks, Terry Banks, Phillip Banks

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Brake will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Wednesday, June 17, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
