Norman Richard Phillips Jr., born January 4, 1969, passed away on December 26, 2025. He was known for his generous heart, and the ability to make friends wherever he went. Phil was truly loved by everyone who met him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Phillips Sr.; his grandparents Martha Hewell and William Hewell, and Henry and Julia Phillips; his brother, Craig Davenport; and his father-in-law, Mike Daniel.
Phil is survived by his devoted wife, Wendi Phillips; his mother, LaVerne Davenport; and his children, Hunter Phillips (Ashlee), Hagen Phillips (Taylor), Keith Womack (Makenna), and Whitney Burley. He was a proud and loving papa to Miller Richard Phillips and Oakley Womack.
He is also survived by his sister, Deneen Plunkett (Stephen); his brothers, Marshal Davenport (Jill) and Donnie Davenport (Kelley); sisters-in-law Denise Davenport and Shannon Daniel; mothers-in-law Teresa Peace (Brett) and Lisa Daniel; brothers-in-law Ryan Daniel and Bryan Daniel (Jesse); along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who meant so much to him.
Phil proudly served his country for three years in the United States Army and dedicated 38 years of service to Snapping Shoals, where he was respected and valued by his coworkers and community.
In his free time, Phil enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos and playing poker, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and competing in cornhole. Phil also served as a baseball coach for his children. He especially loved spending time at the beach and outdoors and enjoyed hunting. Above all, Phil treasured time with his family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and love.

A Funeral Service for Phil will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, 1:00 P.M., at New Life Praise Center, 8111 Brown Bridge Road, in Covington, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington. Freinds are invited to visit with the family at the church proir to his service, from 10:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
